About me
Hi, I'm Myrthe.
I'm a recent graduate with a master's degree in Design for Interaction from the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft.
As a designer, I see myself in the field of social design, with a special interest in healthcare. I'm a curious researcher who loves diving into complex challenges, exploring different perspectives, and navigating the needs of multiple stakeholders.
To me, design is a tool to help people better understand the world around them by creating connections with themselves, with others, and with their environment. I'm passionate about translating research and insights into meaningful experiences that help people feel understood, connected, and empowered!
Interests

Healthcare
I’ve always been fascinated by how our bodies and minds work, although I soon realised that becoming a doctor wasn’t quite the right path for me. Over the past few years, I’ve discovered how much design can contribute to healthcare, both physical and mental. I believe design has the power to bridge the gap between healthcare professionals and patients, but also to explore possibilities beyond the traditional healthcare system. By focusing more on prevention and exploring how design interventions can make a difference, I love the idea of finding creative ways to support people’s well-being and improve the way we approach healthcare.

Research
Even though I’m a designer, I think I might enjoy the research part of the process even more than the design itself. Perhaps because I believe that good design starts with thorough research, but also because I genuinely love diving deep into a topic and gathering as much information as possible. Reading articles and books, attending events, talking to people, or listening to podcasts. I want to explore every possible source, uncover different perspectives, and find that common thread that ties everything together. All within the time I have, of course.

Experience Design
Creating new, fun and meaningful experiences is what makes life beautiful, in my opinion. As a designer, I want to bring these experiences to people in every way imaginable. Turning something dull into something interesting, something complicated into something simple, and something boring into something fun. I love figuring out how people think and behave, and using those insights to create something that surprises them, makes their lives a little better, and hopefully makes them fall in love with it!
